Don't you know the problem?
You are writing a publication with LaTeX but the inscription of your
graphs look ugly.
Therefore it would be nice to have the full power of
LaTeX typesetting within Matlab. (Newer Matlab versions contain a
TeX-link interpreter for smaller typesettig jobs, but this fails if you
want to have complex formulas in you graph.)
MatToLa is a tool to extract letters out of your Matlab figure and
generate a file of PicTeX commands to do the typesetting within LaTeX.
