Submission Instructions
Extended Abstracts
Authors should submit their abstracts in PDF format using the EDAS Conference Management System
(WSA 2010 / International ITG Workshop on Smart Antennas 2010). You can find and update your paper submission within your EDAS account by using
"My Papers". Please use the template files as guideline for your paper layout. Submissions should include affiliation, address, telephone number and email address.
Full Paper
Camera ready versions of the paper for the International ITG Workshop on Smart Antennas (WSA 2010) can be up to 8 pages in two column style.
Please use the template files as a guideline for your layout. Submissions should include affiliation, address, telephone number and email address.
Please, upload the final camera-ready paper until February 1, 2010, using the EDAS conference management system. Due to
organizational reason there will be no extension possible. If you fail to upload your camera ready final paper until February 1, 2010, your paper cannot be included in the workshop proceedings.
Furthermore, we want to remind you that several obligations have to be
fulfilled in order to publish your paper in the conference
proceedings.
- Prepare your camera ready paper according to the provided templates,
with a maximum of 8 pages and full affiliation informations. Furthermore,
make sure that your abstract is no longer than 200 words and contains no latex
formulas if possible.
To ensure IEEE compliant file format, please use exclusively the following paper templates:
- The documents of the conference proceedings need to comply with
IEEE specifications so that the conference papers can be made
available via IEEE Xplore. It is the authors' responsibility to
check that their manuscripts and final papers comply with the IEEE
Xplore requirements. The organizers cannot make any effort to
convert final papers to IEEE Xplore format, and papers that fail
to comply have to be excluded from conference proceedings.
The IEEE Xplore compatibility of the paper has to be checked using
IEEE PDF eXpress. To perform the compatibility test, you have to
register on the webpage http://www.pdf-express.org/
using the conference ID "WSA2010x". First-time users have to click "New
Users - Click here", enter "WSA2010x" for conference ID, email
address and a password. Previous users enter WSA2010x for conference
ID and email address and password used before. Now, for each paper
the following procedure has to be executed for checking the PDF
- For each conference paper, click "Create New Title".
- Enter identifying text for the paper (title is recommended
but not required)
- Click "Submit PDF for Checking" or "Submit Source Files for
Conversion"
- Indicate platform, source file type (if applicable), click
Browse and navigate to file, and click "Upload File". You
will receive online and email confirmation of the successful
upload.
- You will receive an email with your Checked PDF or IEEE PDF
eXpress-converted PDF attached. If you submitted a PDF for
Checking, the email will show if your file passed or failed.
If your PDF passed, use the eXpress-checked file for upload
in EDAS. Otherwise, correct your file by following the
instructions and repeat the checking procedure.
- Update the paper information using EDAS. Make sure, that the
authors name, the title and the abstract are correct. You have to
provide an IEEE copyright form along with the final paper. To this
end a link for the IEEE copyright form can be found at your
paper's page in EDAS.
- Upload the eXpress-checked PDF file in EDAS.
- In order to publish the paper in the Workshop proceedings we
require at least one registered author for each paper to register
until February 1, 2010. The
Registration form and a list of
hotels can be found clicking the links. Please, specify all your
papers by their EDAS ID, as one registration is valid for several
papers. For general participants the registration is open until
February 8, 2010.
Please note that your paper will be withdrawn from publication, if you
failed to fulfill one of the obligations until February 1, 2010. If
there are any further questions do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you for your contribution. We are looking forward to welcome you
in Bremen.
Template
Submissions should be A4, 10pt font size with a maximum of 8 pages for the full paper. Please find further details on formatting and spelling inside the template.
The use of LaTeX typesetting is strongly encouraged.
To guarantee a successful submission to EDAS, please ensure that all fonts are included in the PDF file. Using standard LaTeX tools this can be achieved, e.g., by
ps2pdf -dMaxSubsetPct=100 -dCompatibilityLevel=1.4 -dOptimize=false -dSubsetFonts=true -dEmbedAllFonts=true -dPDFSETTINGS=/prepress
Presentation Instructions
Oral Sessions
The oral presentations should take 15 minutes each and are followed by 5 minutes discussion. We ask the authors to upload their PowerPoint or PDF presentations in advance of the session.
You should contact either the session chairman or WSA staff to upload your presentation to the computer (a USB stick/CD will be helpful). In order to avoid delays during the sessions,
we kindly ask not to use personal laptops for the presentation.
MS PowerPoint 2003 & 2007 and Adobe Reader 9 are provided for the presentations. We suggest the presenters to contact the session
chair 10 minutes before the session begins.
Poster Sessions
During the Workshop two sessions per day will be reserved exclusively for poster presentations. There is no distinction between oral and poster accepted papers, regarding proceedings.
Poster papers will be fully published in the conference proceedings, as long as authors comply with the requirements set in the notification email. Regarding the poster sessions of WSA 2010,
please note that the presentation panels for the papers can display posters of A0 maximum size (vertically placed- portrait) and any smaller sizes, e.g. A1, at any placement (portrait and landscape).
Poster wall and pins will be at your disposal. Due to the strict timing, a short presentation is not possible during the poster sessions but the posters will be announced at the end of preceding oral session.
Posters are on display for the whole day. We kindly ask the authors to install their posters at the beginning of that day the poster is scheduled in the program.
The authors are requested to present and discuss their contributions during the Poster Sessions, on Tuesday 10:45 am - 11:25 am and 3:05 pm - 3:45 pm or on
