Abstract: | To achieve high data rate wireless communication, the usage of multiple antenna systems in conjunction with Space-Time Codes is investigated. Space-Time Blockcodes are one distinct coding scheme achieving the maximum diversity gain and with the advantage of very easy decoding structure. To improve their performance, Space-Time Blockcodes can be combined with traditional channel coding, which results in a concatenated system. The first objective of this thesis is the adaption of several coding schemes (e.g. convolutional codes and turbo-codes) to Space-Time Blockcodes and the comparison of theses schemes. All investigations have to be performed on the basis of an existing multiple antenna system realized in MATLAB. |
