Differential modulation schemes are especially well suited for fast fading channels as they do not require explicit channel estimation. However, the classical noncoherent demodulation suffers from a performance degradation compared to the coherent one. By estimating a whole sequence of symbols this drawback may be overcome.

In this thesis, different approaches to multiple symbol detection shall be implemented in Matlab and compared to each other.
