Abstract:

Simple ARQ schemes repeat a whole erroneous Frame. In order to determine the best combination of coding and modulation, reliable estimates for the frame error probability are required.

In this thesis, analytical expressions for the error probability taken from the literature shall be explained. Furthermore, simulation results shall be approximated by simple exponential functions. Then, frame error rates for arbitrary system parameters may be approximated by interpolating the fitting parameters.
