Abstract:

This project aims at a general systematic overview over non linear precoding techniques which have been researched up to now. The general idea behind precoding is described as dirty paper coding, known interference can be used to structure the transmitted signal in a way, that the interference cancels at the receiver. The equivalent receiver structure to this kind of precoding is called successive interference cancellation (SIC). Several linear and non linear precoding techniques exist which try to achieve the theoretical limit of dirty paper precoding. The focus of this work will be on the non linear part.

The project starts with a literature research with regard to linear and non linear precoding. Subsequent to the study of found literature for the sake of comparison several non linear precoders shall be implemented in Matlab (or C/C++). Through simulations the performance of each precoder can be evaluted regarding different measures as Capacity, frame error rates and so on.
