Abstract:

In multi-hop networks additional terminals are used to support the transmission from the source to the sink. By combining several locally concentrated relays to virtual antenna arrays (VAA) transmission approaches known from multiple anntenna systems like space-time coding can be used.

Relaying_DSTC

In this thesis the depicted system consisting of a source, a destination and several relays combined to VAAs has to be investigated. The VAAs transmit their signals due to a distributed space-time code and the receiving nodes perform independent data detection. For different relaying protocols and optimized resource allocation scheme the system has to be analyzed based on Matlab simulations. In order to process this thesis, the lecture topics of "Channel Coding" and "Advanced Topics in Digital Communications" as well as basic knowledge in Matlab are essential.
