Abstract:

In this project, the operation principles of the sigma delta modulator and its applications in e.g. A/D and D/A conversion and Class D amplifiers and possible implementations are supposed to be examined.

This projects starts with literature research. Then the system theoretic model of the modulator has to be formulated. The remaining time can then be spent on the specific applications mentioned above. If desired, the creation of a Matlab simulation can also be included.

Reasonable knowledge of system theory and DSP I is required, hardware knowledge is highly appreciated. Matlab knowledge is optional.
