M-ary Orthogonal Modulation for MC-CDMA Systems in Indoor Wireless Radio Networks

Abstract: In this paper, we introduce the orthogonal M­ary Walsh modulation for multicarrier code ­division ­multiple ­access (MC­CDMA) trans­mission. Analytical statements will be given for an AWGN channel and simulation results will be illustrated for a Rayleigh fading in­door channel assuming uplink transmission and coherent reception. Comparisons with antipodal modulation show that Walsh modula­tion performs better in terms of bit error rate and spectral efficiency.
