Abstract:

This project aims at basic insight into IDMA and related techniques which are namely the turbo principle, Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) and statistical properties of communication systems.

The project starts with a literature research with regard to IDMA and the related topics. Subsequent to the study of found literature a single atenna IDMA system should be implemented in MATLAB. The performance of IDMA stems from iterative detection, therefore it is crucial to understand soft information and it's exchange in iterative detection schemes. Afterwards the single antenna system can be expanded to multiple receive and transmit antennas.
