Abstract:

The optimization of transmit and receive filters with regard to specific optimiziation criteria has become a widely applied technique, where transmit filter optimization is especially importan in multi-user scenarios as the mobile users typically only have limited CSI and therefore cannot design the optimal filter. Designing transmit and receive separately is usually suboptimal, thus, a joint optimization should be used. The scope of this topic is to get a good grasp of common optimization techniques, especially for joint optimization of filters in a system. Consideration of imperfect CSI can be considered as an expansion depending on the extent of the thesis.
