In relaying schemes the transmission of information from the source to the sink is assisted by addition terminals in order to increase the reliability or the distance from source to sink. This new field in communication technology requires new strategies for coding, protocols, and data processing. Additionally, the information theory has to be extended to a several dependent data transmissions.

In this thesis the basics of information theory for realying systems has to be developed with respect to a literature analysis and investigations using Matlab. In order to process this thesis, the lecture Channel Coding and a basic knowledge in Matlab are essential.
