Abstract:

Due to the enormous performance enhancement, multi-antenna systems in connection with space-time codes have arrest large attention. By utilizing several transmit antennas the additional dimension space is used for encoding in space-time domain. Due to the addiational diversity, the receiver get several replication of the information data, whereby the error probability can be decreased.

As the space-time codes have been designed for flat-fading channels, they can not be applied in frequency-selective environment immediately. However, it is possible to seperate a frequency-selecitve channel into several non-frequency-selective channels using OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing).

In this thesis, the application of space-time codes in ofdm systems should be investigated. The MIMO-OFDM system should be implemented in MATLAB and should be analysed with respect to error probability.
