In the Cluster of Excellence The Martian Mindset project, the department of communications engineering is within the Research Area 3: Operating, where we are part of the group investigating the topic of information-exchange and decision-making under uncertainty.

The goal is to develop semantic communication methods supporting decision-making in a context of scarce information and a threatening environment. The basis for human decisions will be researched depending on machine trustworthiness, communication channel and form, timing of information exchange and teamwork processes in human-robot teams.
