Abstract:

Using general waveforms has recently gained omnipresent attention for robustness in systems under practical constraints. In this paper, two way relaying networks using physical layer network coding utilizing a multicarrier scheme with Gaussian waveforms are analyzed. In two way relaying a multiple access phase is applied, where both users transmit their messages simultaneously on the same resources to an assisting relay. Here, a superposition of both  signals containing the influence of the individual channels is received. The additional interference introduced by the non-orthogonal Gaussian filter is treated by a linear Equalizer. To reduce complexity the equalizer is simplified to treat adjacent symbols in the time-frequency grid, only. Finally, the overall performance of different decoding strategies is analyzed by a link level simulation.
