Impulse truncation for wireless OFDM systems

Abstract:

In the present paper we are going to discuss some fundamentals about exceeding the guard interval of an OFDM system. One way to reduce the effects of ISI and ICI is pre-equalizing. With knowledge of the current channel constellation, we will introduce methods to perform a time domain pre-equalizing-ﬁlter. Therefore, a channel estimation scheme considering HIPERLAN/2 system parameters will be proposed. The functionality of the introduced time-domain pre-equalization-ﬁlter will be proved by simulation results.
