Sourav Mukherjee is currently a Ph.D. scholar at the University of Bremen, Germany, focusing on Federated Learning for Satellite Communications and other advancements in satellite communications. He previously worked as a Senior Engineer at Samsung R&D Institute, Bangalore, where he contributed to the design of channel-state-information (CSI) frameworks and codebook design for near-field communication in 5G. Sourav also served as a Research Associate at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, where he played a pivotal role in developing high-resolution precoder matrix feedback for 5G New Radio in collaboration with British Telecom. He holds an M.Tech in Communication and Networks from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India. Sourav's research interests include beyond 5G physical layer aspects and advanced CSI feedback mechanisms.
