Performance Evaluation of Joint Power and Time Allocations for Adaptive Distributed MIMO Multi-hop Networks

Autoren: Y. Lang, D. Wübben
Kurzfassung: Distributed multiple input multiple output (MIMO) multihop networks are proven to achieve superior performance in terms of data throughput and communication reliability. In this paper a low-complexity adaptive relaying scheme is considered in order to achieve robust end-to-end (e2e) communications. For this system optimal as well as nearoptimal efficient resource allocation strategies that reduce the total transmit power while satisfying a given e2e outage probability are proposed. It will be shown, that notable power savings can be achieved by the adaptive scheme compared to non-adaptive distributedMIMOmulti-hop networks. Moreover, the proposed joint power and time allocation in closed form allows simple implementation and achieves near optimal power consumption.
